An emulation of the classic Wasp synth, the daHornet VST by NuSofting has achieved something of a cult status online.

It’s little wonder. daHornet offer a cool combination of vintage and cutting edge sounds, specializing in funky lo-fi-ish sounds.

With a handy 128 preset factory bank, noise generator and legato mode with tuneable glide effect the daHornet generates fat, warm tones perfect for that thumping bass line or watery oscillating effects.

My favourite part? The random presets generator can pretty much guarantee that you’ll be using totally unique sounds that won’t sound passé by even the pickiest listener.
