If you’re on the look-out for good-sounding bass samples, free ones are hard to find and paid-for versions are so expensive they’ll make you hair curl.

The kind chap at TurtleSounds has gone to the trouble of making some and they’re yours, absolutely free of charge.

I haven’t tried them out but I have listened to the samples on the site and they sound very workable indeed.
